Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2019 Notification Released
What isKCET ?
The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2019 is being conducted for the purpose of joining into First year or First semester of full time courses for Government share of seats in Government / University / Private Aided / Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka for the academic year 2019-20.
Engineering, Technology, Farm Science courses [i,e., Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc, & A.H.), B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons) Sericulture, B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture, B.Sc (Hons) Forestry, B.Tech (Bio Technology), B.Sc.(Hons) Community Science, B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering), B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Tech (Dairy Tech), B.F.Sc (Fisheries), B.Sc. (Agri. Marketing & Co-Op),1 and B.Pharm & Pharm-D courses for the year 2019-20.
For admission to Medical/ Dental/ AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani and Homoeopathy) courses, candidates have to appear for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) - 2019 conducted by CBSE.
For admission to Architecture course candidates have to appear for JEE Paper -2 or NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture.
Engineering/ Technology courses (B.E. / B. Tech): Passed in 2nd PUC/ 12th Std/ Equivalent Exam with English as one of the Languages and obtained a Minimum of 45% of Marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Bio- Technology/ Biology/ Electronics/ Computer. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates).
For Architecture course (B. Arch):
Passed in 2nd PUC/ 12th Std/ Equivalent Exam with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and also 50% marks in aggregate at 2nd PUC/ 12th Std/ Equivalent Exam in all the subjects. (45% for SC, ST, Cat- 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates and person with disability of mental retardation or mental illness (including Dyslexia)).
Note on NOT ELIGIBLE CLAUSE: Previous Year Seat Allotted Candidates
A candidate who had obtained a seat in any discipline through KEA (CET Cell) in any of the previous years and not surrendered the seat before the last date fixed for entry of options for final round of seat allotment for the respective disciplines will not be eligible for allotment of a seat to the same discipline during 2019 as per rule 15 (5) of CET-2006 Admission Rules. However, he/ she is eligible to appear for CET-2019 for allotment of seat in any other discipline.
Only Government Quota Seats will be filled through KCET Exam.

A downloadable admit card will be hosted for all the eligible candidates on official website. All the candidates must take a printout of the same.
