The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB), established in 1962 by the
Government of West Bengal, was exclusively authorized under the West Bengal Act XIV of 2014
to conduct Common Entrance Examinations for selecting candidates for admission to
undergraduate and postgraduate Professional, Vocational, and General Degree courses in the
state, as well as to manage the online counselling process or otherwise adopting a singlewindow approach
Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2025. There is no upper age limit for the examination. However, for Marine Engineering courses, the upper age limit is 25 years as of December 31, 2025.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 12th standard (10+2) or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, Computer Application, or a Technical Vocational Subject. A minimum aggregate of 45% marks is required in these subjects (40% for reserved categories). Candidates appearing for the 12th examination in 2025 are also eligible to apply.
APPLICATION FEE:
The application fee varies based on candidate categories and gender. Payment can be made via Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card. The fee details are as follows:
The WBJEE 2025 examination will be held offline (pen-and-paper-based) and consists of two papers:
Paper 1: Mathematics (11:00 AM to 1:00 PM)
Paper 2: Physics and Chemistry (2:00 PM to 4:00 PM)
The exam will feature Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) divided into three categories:
