• To enhance transparency in the examination process conducted by NTA, the following data is being published for JEE (Main) 2026:
• 1. Candidates are randomly assigned to shifts based on their chosen city preferences, with priority given to PwD and female candidates in allocating their first-choice city. The number of candidates scheduled for both sessions, categorized by date, shift, gender and category. The data indicate that the distribution of candidates across gender and categories is uniform across both sessions conducted in multiple shifts. On account of Saraswati Puja on 23rd January 2026, requests were received for rescheduling the exams scheduled on 23 January 2026 (Shift-1 and Shift-2) and accordingly the exams for those candidates were scheduled to 24 January 2026 and 28 January 2026 in different shifts.
• 2. The distribution of percentile scores, date- and shift-wise, for both sessions of JEE 2026 has been provided in the interest of transparency.
