CHRIST (Deemed to be University) was born out of the educational vision of St Kuriakose Elias Chavara, an educationalist and social reformer of the nineteenth century in South India.
He founded the first Catholic indigenous congregation, Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), in 1831 which administers CHRIST (Deemed to be University).

Basic eligibility for the programme is a pass at the +2 level (Karnataka PUC/ ISC/ CBSE/ NIOS/ State Boards) Examination from any recognised Board with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
Candidates should have studied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at Class XII level and obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics.
Candidates writing the +2 examinations in March-May 2019 may apply with their class X and XI marks.
Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
Applicants pursuing GCE/ Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels, grades not less than C
